On the hard

Updated: Aug 9, 2022

On the hard, a nautical term for when your boat is on dry land.

Season one was filled with many maintenance updates and the end of season was no different. We had the boat pulled from the water for a new bottom coat, installation of new bronze thru-hull hardware and fittings, and a rudder repair. While out of the water we tackled removal of the name she came with, Alcestis.

Here are some pics of our sailboat out of water and a short video of her return "splash".

Special thanks to Brian, owner of B&T Auto-body Repair in Fayette for assisting with the Rudder Repair, Cody Shaw and crew from Grand Mariner, the Plymate’s of OTM, and to our Lake Family (Reavis boys I’m looking at you).
